Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says he will only accept an offer of 700 million euros (roughly £620 million) and not a penny less for talented winger Marco Asensio, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The talented Madrid winger has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal (The Sun), Liverpool (the Express) and Tottenham Hotspur (Mundo Deportivo) all said to be interested.

The report in Mundo Deportivo claims Madrid rejected a bid from an unnamed English club in the region of £133 million last summer, while the Express named Liverpool as the club who made an offer.

Either way, it appears the La Liga giants are not interested in selling Asensio, and his recent impact in the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain has only highlighted his importance further.

Speaking to reporters, Perez says Los Blancos would not entertain an offer a penny less than £620 million.

“If anybody wants to sign him, he is worth 700 million euros and not a penny less,” Perez told Mundo Deportivo.

It is a figure of extraordinary proportions, and one that will surely warn off the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool who may feel his lack of game-time could tempt him into a switch to the Premier League.

Asensio has made just 15 starts in all competitions this season, with his main contribution coming off the bench for Madrid’s Karim Benzema in the latter stages to add some fresh legs.

The Spain international is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in La Liga, yet boss Zinedine Zidane has been cautious in regard to his involvement, although that may now change from this point on.

Asensio came on for the final 10 minutes against PSG with the game locked at 1-1, yet his introduction gave Madrid some extra life and he played a key role as the hosts scored twice late on to secure a 3-1 win.
