Newcastle United have reportedly failed with bids for Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues.

Newcastle United ended the January transfer window with three new signings, but new reports suggest they missed out on another of Rafael Benitez’s targets last month.
The Magpies left it late, but did manage to tie up three loan deals, bringing in Martin Dubravka, Kenedy and Islam Slimani from Sparta Prague, Chelsea and Leicester City respectively to boost Benitez’s options in the club’s fight against relegation.
Newcastle did though miss out on a host of players over the course of January, and reports suggest that another move for Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues fell through.

Gunes report that Newcastle offered €8million (£7.1million) to sign Rodrigues last month, but after selling Badou Ndiaye to Stoke City, Galatasaray refused to let Rodrigues leave the club.
That’s Newcastle’s second failed move for the winger, after Turkish-Football reported that Newcastle failed with an offer of £6million last summer, and the Magpies will surely continue their pursuit this summer.
Manager Benitez is clearly serious about a deal for Rodrigues having reportedly made bids in successive transfer windows, and if Galatasaray are given more time to find a replacement, then a deal could be possible.

Rodrigues, 27, would offer Benitez real pace out wide as well as trickiness and creativity around the area, having notched four goals and six assists in all competitions this season.
Having failed twice, Newcastle should be looking to make it third time lucky in their pursuit of Rodrigues this summer, but they won’t want to go too close to £10million for the former PAOK man, who has seemingly grabbed Benitez’s attention over the last year.
