One is living his dream, the other find his coming to an abrupt end. Harry Kane reached out to his former Tottenham teammate.

Harry Kane has sent a message to former Tottenham teammate Ryan Mason after the midfielder was forced into early retirement.

Mason has ended his career at just 26-years-old, 12 months after sustaining a serious head injury.

Harry Kane came through Tottenham's academy alongside Kane and broke into the first team together, and going on to represent England.

Mason left Spurs in 2016 for Hull to try and play more regularly after falling down the pecking order at Tottenham.

Harry Kane is living his dream at present for the North London club, and he took time out to pay tribute to his former colleague.

Kane could end up seeing Ryan Mason very soon back at Tottenham.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino told SkySports that the door is open for Mason at Spurs if he wants to develop as a coach.
