Dundee fans have praised the performance of Steven Caulker on his debut, after the centre-back scored on his first appearance.
Caulker started for Dundee for the first time, following his move north of the border after leaving Queens Park Rangers.
QPR decided to terminate Caulker’s contract last month, to give him a chance to restart his career.
The centre-back had endured a difficult time at Loftus Road, but he has already made a bright start at Dundee.
Caulker was in excellent form on debut, but he failed to save Dundee from falling to defeat against Kilmarnock.
Killie picked up a 3-2 win in the contest, but Dundee fans were still full of praise for their new signing.
Gutted. We fell apart. That result could be huge come the end of the season. Fair play Killie.— Ryan (@TwaPlehnPehs) February 13, 2018
Positive note, Caulker seems class.
Great debut by caulker shown perm experience and great on the ball— Angüs(29-25) (@ScottishEagIe) February 13, 2018
What a Debut couldn't write it class. Pity he didn't play against well— Craig Neish (@Penzer83) February 13, 2018
@dundeefconline shame about the result, but so happy to see Steven Caulker back in action. What a great guy, he will be a huge player for you this season.— Glen Schmidt (@glenschmidt365) February 13, 2018
Caulker was excellent for Dundee, but when you play him.alongside two absolute haddies the opposition will just target them instead.— RUSEV DAY (@russabercrombie) February 13, 2018
Speechless.Killie going down to 10 galvanised them and had the opposite effect on us.2-1 up against 10men, killie bring on Erwin who changes the match and wilson that scores https://t.co/ozPeNXuSbN 2-1 we take off deacon, bring on cammy and they score Caulker looks class tho— Craig Norrie (@craign1967) February 13, 2018
Other thoughts on the game: Lee Erwin was superb when he came on and Steven Caulker was excellent for @dundeefconline They look more than good enough to avoid relegation.— Scott Allan (@Scobiewan77) February 13, 2018
If Caulker can hit form at Dundee, he could yet go on to fulfil his potential.
Prior to his struggles at QPR, Caulker was regarded as an extremely bright prospect and the hope is that he can get back to his best in Scotland.
