Aston Villa should already be making plans to sign Robert Snodgrass permanently

Aston Villa currently have Robert Snodgrass on loan from West Ham United until the end of the season.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Robert Snodgrass is open to staying with Aston Villa, and Steve Bruce should now already be making plans to make the Scottish international's move a permanent one.

Snodgrass is currently on loan at Villa from West Ham United, but he has already done enough to show his is worthy of a place in Bruce’s squad, regardless of what division they are in next term.

Villa are currently in second place in the Championship table, and will obviously have their sights set on playing top flight football next term.

Snodgrass has already proven he can perform in the Premier League, even if his time at West Ham hasn’t gone according to plan, and he would now be a great addition for Villa.

Snodgrass may be 30, but his experience has proven crucial this season and will continue to in the future, if Bruce can tie the wide-man down.

Snodgrass has scored seven goals and claimed eight assists during the season so far for Villa, and he has become a talismanic figure of late.

His delivery from out wide has been highly impressive, and he has also chipped in with some crucial goals.

And if Snodgrass is happy to stick around for the long-term, then that must be treated as great news by Villa.
