West Ham youngster is on the edge of the first team.
But the 18-year-old winger has not been utilised in the first team since.
On Monday evening Quina was in action for the under-23s and scored in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
His contribution was praised by manager Liam Canning, who was delighted the teenager is taking on board his advice.
Canning told the club's official website: "With Domingos, he’s got to score or create goals and the fact he got in the box tonight is testament that he’s taking it on board and learning from that.
"We made the point to the players before the game about what a big game it was, that rivalry and ultimately we want to aspire to be better than them."
Quina was a surprise selection by David Moyes in West Ham's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Arsenal back in December.
The former Chelsea talent did not justify his manager's faith and the stage looked a little too big for him, but it is too early to write him off.
If he can continue to develop his game for the under-23s and make an impact like last night then he will be better prepared for when his next big chance comes along.
