Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to return to Champions League action with their last 16 clash with Juventus and their opponents may be closely watching Harry Kane for more than one reason.
The Serie A champions will of course be aware of the dangers Kane will pose to them in the game but according to Spanish publication Don Balon, they are considering breaking the world record for the striker.
Juve are keen to sign a player to take them to the next level and win Europe's biggest club competition, but realise that acquiring stars such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo is beyond them.
However, they believe they could land Kane and are willing to take on Real Madrid for the England international and will pay a whopping £221.5m to bring the 24-year-old to Turin.
The arrival of the Spurs forward at the Juventus Stadium would even see captain Gianluigi Buffon delay his retirement, which is due to take place at the end of this season, so that he can play alongside the Englishman and try and finally win the Champions League.
Madrid president Florentino Perez, meanwhile, will be determined that if Kane does leave North London then he will be coming to Madrid and nowhere else.
