Ryan Christie was sublime as Aberdeen knocked Dundee United out of the Scottish Cup and fans of parent club Celtic are wondering why they let him go.

You could make the argument that the best Celtic midfielder in 2017/18 has not even been wearing green and white.
While Stuart Armstrong has endured a difficult season at Parkhead and Olivier Ntcham is yet to fully convince following his £4 million move from Manchester City, Ryan Christie has only enhanced his reputation on loan at Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen.
Celtic loaned the talented playmaker out to the Dons for a second successive campaign as part of the summer deal that saw Jonny Hayes swap Pittodrie for Parkhead. But, with Hayes out for the season with a broken leg, it is pretty clear who got the better deal.

Christie produced his 12th assist of a stunning individual campaign with a glorious roulette and cross combo in Aberdeen’s 4-2 Scottish Cup win against Dundee United on Sunday afternoon.
And the Celtic fans watching on were left wondering why the 22-year-old is strutting his stuff at Aberdeen right now rather than being given a chance in a Celtic side who could do with his creativity, vision and ability to produce something out of very little.
In fact, some supporters are even starting to make a case for Christie being a better player than Armstrong, the £10 million-rated midfielder who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the last few months, as reported by the Sunday Post.

The question is: Will Christie get his second chance at Celtic next season?
