The Deportivo La Coruna ace is reportedly attracting attention from Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs are interested in signing Deportivo youngster Pinchi, according to the Sun, with Mauricio Pochettino looking for a cheaper alternative to Bordeaux ace Malcom.

The pacey forward has made just a single appearance for Deportivo this season, although at just 22 years of age, he still has plenty of time to improve.

The Sun claim that that Tottenham are prepared to rival Liverpool for his signature in the summer, with the possibility of a bargain proving to be an attractive prospect for the north Londoners.

Is the Spaniard what Spurs need, though?

Pinchi is a right winger by trade, and has pace in abundance. Whilst he is still a totally unproven commodity at the very highest level, he has a lot of potential, and is exactly the type of player who Pochettino likes to sign, in the hope that he can be moulded into a top-class performer.

He is under contract with Deportivo until the summer of 2021, but is valued at just £270,000, according to TransferMarkt, so if the Lilywhites are after a bargain, he would represent a risk-free signing for them.

With the likes of Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Heung-min Son and Erik Lamela currently at the club, though, Pinchi’s path to the first-team would undoubtedly be blocked, so he would be a signing for the future, if Spurs do in fact bring him to London in the summer.
