Everton picked up just a second win in nine Premier League outings on Saturday by beating Crystal Palace 3-1 at Goodison Park.
Second-half goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson, Oumar Niasse and Tom Davies had Everton leading 3-0 ahead of the final quarter, before Luka Milivojevic grabbed an 83rd-minute consolation from the penalty spot.
But the win might've come at a cost for Sam Allardyce's side, who lost Eliaquim Mangala to a knee injury.
The 26-year-old defender, who joined on loan from Manchester City last month, was replaced by Ashley Williams shortly before the half-time break.
Mangala endured a horrific debut in last weekend's 5-1 defeat by Arsenal and the Frenchman also struggled against the Eagles yesterday, prior to his injury.
And fans of the Goodison Park club have questioned him on Twitter yet again.
Really happy with that performance today, everyone who started except Mangala was quality #EVECRY— mgannEFC (@EfcDavies26) February 10, 2018
Not celebrating an injury but we needed mangala off that field— Rhys (@RhysEFC) February 10, 2018
Martina and Mangala are the exact same player— Rhys (@RhysEFC) February 10, 2018
Think Ashley Williams has handled Benteke a lot better then Mangala.— Alan Collins (@EFCCollins) February 10, 2018
With Mangala going off we may be a little better at the back.— Paul~off the nerdboard~ (@EFC_Wolfstein) February 10, 2018
Wouldn't wish injury on anyone but not too bothered Mangala is going off.— David Jones (@DJ1878EFC) February 10, 2018
