Leeds United fans have been left impressed from their first viewing of Paul Heckingbottom’s training sessions.
Heckingbottom was appointed as Leeds coach earlier this week, and he immediately set about working with his side on the training ground.
The new Whites boss looked an authoritative figure at Thorp Arch, as he put his new side through some drills.
And Leeds fans feel that Heckingbottom’s vocal approach is already an improvement on Thomas Christiansen.
Like it looks hard structured loud . I have a feeling Anita may be used in the middle too. Happy with him now.— jayjay82 (@jwh1982) February 6, 2018
For all I liked Christiansen you can already see in this that Heckingbottom will command respect. Dish out bollockings when necessary. Take no prisoners etc. Just what we need.— Stephen Barry (@StephenBarry20) February 7, 2018
Makes a lovely change to hearing the dulcet tones of Kermit Christiansen— Phil Hardaker (@philjh1975) February 6, 2018
Sounds like he has authority and is very clear on his instructions... perfect style.. get the lads listening and get the respect ✊.. top work on day one no messing about— Tom Button (@TomButtonmoon) February 6, 2018
couldn't imagine TC having that vocal direction somehow.— Andy Speed (@Spitfire_Chap) February 6, 2018
I guarantee TC didn’t shout like that— Louis Richardson (@louisrich1979) February 6, 2018
Like it... 'DO IT AGAIN!' bet TC never said that to them— 11WHITES (@11WHITES) February 6, 2018
Christiansen’s leadership was, perhaps, not as commanding as Heckingbottom’s.
The Dane was fairly softly spoken, whereas Heckingbottom has a reputation as a tough-talking and straight-forward manager.
Heckingbottom will take charge of Leeds for the first time this weekend, when the Whites take on Sheffield United on Saturday.
Leeds have struggled for victories of late, and Heckingbottom will need to make a flying start if the Whites are to compete for a play off spot.
