The Swedish striker has decided to take a step back in order to go forward.
A Leeds United fan waves his scarf
This season has seen Leeds United partake in something of a recruitment spree in the youth department at Thorp Arch. Plenty of new signings, many from abroad, have been added to the Leeds under-23 line-up in recent months.
One player who looked like joining them was Swedish attacker Ardian Berisha. Toward the end of last month Swedish outlet Halmstad 24 reported Berisha as one of two players from Halmstad on trial at Leeds that week.
They claimed the 19-year-old would be waiting to hear from Leeds, who would decide whether or not to offer the player a contract at Elland Road.

Well it would seem that did not happen as he has joined another team in Sweden. Berisha has left Halmstads for Laholms FK who play in the Swedish third-tier.
He played for the side when he was a youngster and told Laholms Tidning he joined the club to be in a safe environment, after recovering from a broken leg quite recently:
“I am very keen to play football in Division 3. I will do the best I can for the team and for my part. Then we’ll see what the future has to offer.
“The most important thing for me now is to feel safe and to play time. It was tough when I was injured. Now I’m close home and mom and dad can come and look at Glänninge. It feels good.”

With that the reason behind the move back to his former club, after also rejecting a deal with Kosovan champions Trepca’89, it is probably best he did not end up at Leeds.
Clearly he is looking for home comforts and believes taking this step back now, will ultimately prove beneficial for him in the future.
Leeds would do well to keep an eye on his progress and see if he becomes an option again in the near future.
