In the summer Middlesbrough spent big to bring in Danish forward Martin Braithwaite from Toulouse. He was not cheap either. The BBC reported Garry Monk sanctioned a £9 million move to bring the player to Riverside.
He did however struggle to have a big impact at Boro. He scored six goals in 21 appearances during his time on Teeside but after Monk was sacked and Tony Pulis came on board his playing time dramatically diminished and he was sent packing in January.
He headed back to France, signing for Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season, with the aim of ensuring a place in the Denmark squad at this summer’s upcoming World Cup.
Judging by training photos, he is certainly enjoying himself back in France.
He has been getting well acquainted with his new colleagues, including one Le10 Sport suggest is worth €60 million (£53.3 million) to Bordeaux. That player is Brazilian winger Malcom, who has been heavily linked with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal in recent months.
