An update on the candidates for the Leeds United job.

Leeds United are looking for a new manager after taking the decision to sack Thomas Christiansen.
The bookies have opened a market on Christiansen’s successor.
Steve McClaren was the early favourite for the role but his odds are increasing.
The new second favourite is former Leeds player Gordon Strachan, most recently Scotland manager.

Odds have also been falling rapidly on German manager Hannes Wolf, who was sacked by Stuttgart last month.
Wolf has entered the top five and is the candidate who is showing the most movement in the betting market at present.
Here are SkyBet’s latest odds at time of writing.
Gordon Strachan 2/1
Marco Silva 4/1
Steve McClaren 5/1
Paul Heckingbottom 6/1
Simon Grayson 7/1
Paul Clement 8/1
Hannes Wolf 10/1
Leeds appointing Wolf would be a similar move to their left-field choice to go with Thomas Christiansen in the summer.
In the end Christiansen’s lack of Championship experience came back to bite him and Leeds, and the German boss would have to adapt quickly.
Wolf is just 36 and managed for 18 months at Stuttgart and was a coach at Borussia Dortmund before that.
