It was Ameobi’s brilliant goal in the 71st minute that proved to be the difference between Bolton and City at the Macron Stadium.

Newcastle fans were impressed with the performance of the 25-year-old winger - who left the Magpies on a permanent basis in the summer of 2017 - with many calling for his return.
