West Ham United will be desperate to continue their unbeaten Premier League run which now stretches to six games as they face Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday - and fans are keen to see Jordan Hugill start.

The 25-year-old striker was David Moyes' second and final transfer of the January window, as he lured the target man to the London Stadium just hours before the deadline for a fee believed to be in the region of £8million.

Hugill attracted the Hammers after scoring 10 goals in 29 games for Championship side Preston North End this season, with his style of play offering much more than just scoring goals.

He could now be in line to start up front against Chris Hughton's Brighton for the Hammers, as powerful striker Andy Carroll remains sidelined. Moyes also decided to sell Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho, leaving the Hammers with little up front.

But the Scottish boss does have Hugill and Javier Hernandez to start with and a handful of fans want the two to combine against Brighton, while others wants the powerhouse to start in order just to get a glimpse of their signing.

One fan even stated that he would start Hugill "without hesitation".
