Theo Walcott reacts on Twitter to Olivier Giroud's Arsenal exit

Former Arsenal pair both left The Emirates this month.

Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott were two of three high profiles strikers to leave Arsenal in the transfer window.

Their exits were overshadowed by Alexis Sanchez's departure, with all three joining Premier League sides.

Giroud was the last to depart, moving across London to Arsenal's rivals Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Walcott commented on Twitter yesterday after Giroud's exit, wishing his former teammate well for the future.


Walcott has had a tremendous start at new club Everton, scoring two goals and providing one assist in his first two games.

Giroud will be hoping for a similar impact at Chelsea, who are desperately out of form.

Both players are looking to rescue their World Cup ambitions after barely starting for Arsenal during the first half of the season in the Premier League.
