Spurs fail in Gomes approach

According to the Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur have failed in an approach to take Andre Gomes on loan from Barcelona.

Tottenham are now expecting a quiet deadline day, with Lucas Moura’s arrival from PSG likely to be their only addition.

Derby want back-up GK

Sparta Prague goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is set to undergo a medical at Newcastle United, according to the Mail.

Newcastle appear to have agreed a deal to sign the goalkeeper, who could go straight into Rafael Benitez's starting line-up at St. James' Park.
