Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the departure of Danny Wilson from Ibrox.
As announced on Rangers’ official website a few minutes ago, Wilson has left the Ibrox club to move to Major League Soccer outfit Colorado Rapids.
The 26-year-old central defender started his professional club football at the Gers and left for Liverpool in England in 2010.
The Scotland international returned to Scotland and signed for Heart of Midlothian on a permanent contract in 2013 after a loan spell at Tynecastle Park.
Wilson was very impressive during his time at Hearts and moved to Rangers in 2015.
During his second spell at Ibrox, the defender helps the Gers win promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Scottish Premiership.
Wilson’s contract with Rangers was scheduled to run out at the end of the season, and one suspects that the Gers have received a transfer fee from MLS club Colorado Rapids.

All the best Danny, mad decision not to renew his contract hope we have got someone lined up— Mark (@_mk1872) January 29, 2018
It didn’t look like he was needed under Pedro coz we’ve not had a stable manager these kinda things crop up. Think it’s a very strange decision career wise tho— David Smart (@DavidSmart54) January 29, 2018
He wasn’t given a new contract. Also the MLS is a far better league than the SPL— (@1872duncan) January 29, 2018
May look back to regret it, but understandable. Think we'll have someone else lined up..— Cairo Kearney (@Look_at_em123) January 29, 2018
Disappointed we couldn’t keep him, must have wanted crazy money. Well no point dwelling on it. Although will need another defender now!— Craig (@Craig4llan) January 29, 2018
Disappointing... but good luck with him. Unfortunately for him, he’ll probably never now fulfil the potential he had— Rossco 76 (@Rossco76) January 29, 2018
