According to a report from The Sun's live transfer feed (28th January 2018; 09:30 am), West Ham youngster Reece Oxford looks set to seal a loan return to Borussia Monchengladbach during the coming week.

Oxford has endured a fairly turbulent season. He left for the Bundesliga side in the summer with the intention of spending the campaign with the club. However, West Ham cut the deal short ahead of the January window.

But it now appears that David Moyes is ready to let the 19-year-old leave the London Stadium once again with The Sun reporting that the defender is set to be allowed to return to Gladbach to spend the rest of the campaign on loan.

The Sun adds that Moyes wanted to have a look at the teenager, but has ultimately decided that he would be better off returning to Germany for the rest of the campaign.

Oxford will be hoping that his time with Monchengladbach, if the deal does go through as expected, proves to be more successful than his initial spell where he made only three top flight appearances before he was recalled.

The Hammers academy graduate was once deemed to be one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League, and he will surely be hoping to show to West Ham that he still has the quality to be the player he threatened to be when he burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old.
