Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been linked with Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

It has been claimed that Iheanacho wants to leave Leicester this month, having joined the Foxes for a reported transfer fee of £25 million from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

Newcastle, who are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment, are reportedly patiently waiting in the wings.
According to The Mirror (Transfer live blog, 21:23, Saturday, January 27, 2018), a deal depends on the Magpies’ hunt for Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen.

Iheanacho has failed to make an impact for Leicester so far this season, having managed to play only 256 minutes in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.
The 21-year-old striker scored twice for the Foxes in their 5-1 defeat of Peterborough United away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup today.
