Juventus are leading the race to sign the Tottenham Hotspur linked star, according to his agent.
The agent of Spurs target Kwang-Song Han spoke exclusively to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, and insisted that Juventus are the only club who have shown concrete interest in his client, claiming that the Old Lady are currently in discussions with Cagliari about the possibilty of bringing him to Turin.
TuttoSport claimed earlier this month that Tottenham had made contact with the 19-year-old’s representatives over the potential of a January switch to north London for the North Korean.
Those reports appear to be wide of the mark, however, following the striker’s agent’s comments regarding his future today, however.
Sandro Stemperini spoke exclusively to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, and delivered an update on discussions between Cagliari and Juve:
“The most important thing for the player is that in this moment there’s serious interest from Juventus who want to bring him to Turin. Cagliari and the Bianconeri are negotiating, both parties are open to the move and the valuation of his rights is between them. Let’s allow the parties to discuss while we hope they reach an agreement.”
He was then asked if there is more interest in Han:
“Yes, a ton honestly and they are of high calibre, both in Europe and in Italy. But again these are verbal interests, the team that has taken concrete action is Juventus who is now moving forward with the negotiations.”
Han is currently on loan with Perugia, and has been in fine form this season, scoring seven goals in 17 Serie B outings.
Judging by his agent’s comments today, though, it looks as if he will not be heading to Tottenham any time soon, with Juventus actively pursuing his signature.
