The England and Liverpool forward is allegedly desperate for a move in January in order to boost his chances of making his country’s World Cup squad.
Daniel Sturridge, 28, has reportedly indicated to Liverpool that he favours a loan move to Sevilla this January according to the Daily Mail.
The England forward has struggled for minutes on the pitch this season and has not travelled to Swansea City for tonight’s Premier League match against the bottom placed side.
It is believed that Inter Milan and Sevilla have been in contact with the Reds this January over a potential move for the former Chelsea and Manchester City player, however, both clubs are interested in a loan deal.
Liverpool are reportedly keen on offloading Sturridge permanently and are after a fee of £30million.
The 28-year-old is particularly keen on a move as he looks for opportunities on the pitch to boost his chances of making England’s World Cup squad for Russia this summer.
Sevilla are in desperate needs of goals, having only scored a distinctly unimpressive 26 in 20 La Liga games this season, and believe Sturridge could be the man to fire them in.
The Liverpool striker has netted 63 in 133 appearances for the Reds and has proved to be one of the deadliest front men in England in the right environment.
With 18 months left on his contract, Liverpool are holding out for a permanent offer, despite Sevilla reportedly offering to pay all of Sturridge’s wages for the remainder of the season if a loan deal is accepted.
