Aston Villa-owned Ross McCormack is due back in the UK this week, and Leeds United fans would have him back.

Ross McCormack’s loan at Melbourne City is due to end this week – and Leeds United fans would love him back at Elland Road.
The Aston Villa striker joined the A League side on a half-season loan in September after struggling to impress Villans boss Steve Bruce.
But the former Leeds hitman has been ripping it up Down Under and scored in Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing of Adelaide United to make it 14 goals in 16 games for City.

His failed spell at Aston Villa – and a forgetful loan at Nottingham Forest during the second half of last season – has seen his stock plummet following a £12 million move from Fulham in the summer of 2016.
But the Scottish forward managed 53 goals in 144 games for Leeds during a four-year stint at Elland Road.
And fans of the West Yorkshire side have expressed an interest in re-signing him in some capacity when he returns to the United Kingdom this week.

You can see why the appeal is there. Not only was the 31-year-old a special player for Leeds, but Thomas Chrisiansen’s side could certainly do with another goalscoring option this month.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe both scored in Saturday’s 4-3 defeat by Millwall, but neither are reliable striking options and that lack of consistency is only going to harm United’s chances of winning promotion to the Premier League.
That defeat saw the Whites slip to 10th in the Championship, three points adrift of the top six.
