West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Ben Wilmot from Stevenage in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that West Brom manager Alan Pardew is considering the 18-year-old League Two defender, who is claimed to be liked by Premier League rivals Arsenal as well.

The Baggies and the Gunners are not the only two Premier League clubs who are (reportedly) interested in the 18-year-old defender.

According to Football.London, Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Southampton are also looking at the teenager.

It would be hard for the Baggies to compete with the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool for Wilmot, but there could have one advantage.

Pardew could convince the youngster to join The Hawthorns by assuring him of more playing time than he would get at Spurs, the Gunners or the Reds.

West Brom are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
