David Moyes’ West Ham United have been linked with Harry Arter of Bournemouth in the January transfer window.

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter in the January transfer window.

According to The Times, West Ham want to sign Arter from Premier League rivals Bournemouth this month.

The Hammers could do with another new midfielder, and manager David Moyes has reportedly identified the Republic of Ireland international as a January target.

Arter has been on the books of Bournemouth since 2010 and has established himself as an important player for the Cherries.

However, the former Charlton Athletic prospect has struggled to play regularly for Eddie Howe’s side so far this season.

Southampton legend and Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier has given his take on speculation linking Arter with a move from Bournemouth to West Ham in the January transfer window.

Le Tissier said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Premier League last Saturday afternoon (2:15pm, January 13, 2018): “I can see why they would be interested in him. I like him. He is a good footballer and I think he would fit in well at West Ham.”

One West Ham player who has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium in the January transfer window is Javier Hernandez.

The Telegraph recently claimed of Manchester United’s interest in the Mexico international striker, who has struggled to make a huge impact at the Hammers so far this season.

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has given his take on the situation of Hernandez at West Ham.

Merson said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports Premier League last Saturday afternoon (2:17pm, January 13, 2018): “I would expect people to want to come and get him. He is a goalscorer, just doesn’t fit (at West Ham).”
