Premier League duo Everton and West Ham were both competing to lure Theo Walcott from Arsenal – and it appears that The Toffees have a deal in the bag.

Adama Traore may look like a world beater at times but, as of yet, he simply does not have the end product to back up all the hype.
In 37 Premier League games for Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, the rapid winger set up one goal and scored none. But he could still be handed another chance to prove himself in England’s top tier with the Yorkshire Post claiming that West Ham have contacted Boro about a January move.
West Ham were interested in the summer and were close to striking an £8 million deal. But they appear to have stepped up their interest now with of the mid-season window having passed them by.

And it is interesting to note that The Hammers appear to have stepped up their interest now that Everton are the clear favourites to sign Theo Walcott from Arsenal.
The Express stated that Everton and West Ham were just two of the clubs keen to offer the out-of-favour winger an escape route from The Emirates. But with The Telegraph stating that the Toffees will make a £20 million bid, and manager Sam Allardyce confirming that talks are underway, expect to see Walcott posing in deep blue before the end of the month.

But could West Ham compensate for missing out on Walcott by finally luring Adama Traore to the London Stadium? Possibly, if David Moyes can have the same impact on the Spaniard as he had on the transformed Marko Arnautovic.
