Burnley are eyeing a move for Brighton & Hove Albion star Solly March, HITC Sport understands,

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is looking to bring in a new winger before the close of the transfer window and March has emerged on his radar.

Dyche has already signed Tottenham wide man Georges-Kevin Nkoudou on loan for the rest of the season, but he is still looking to bring in another winger to supplement his squad after losing Robbie Brady to a serious knee injury.

Dyche is understood to be an admirer of March and has been keeping tabs on the player since being impressed when coming up against him in the Championship.

Burnley have endured a slump in form in recent weeks and Dyche is determined to strengthen his squad to ensure their season does not run away from them.

March is highly-regarded at Brighton having impressed at the club since joining from non-league Lewes in 2011.

The 23-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Brighton and played a key role in helping them win promotion to the Premier League last season.

March has been in and out of the Brighton side this season, starting 13 Premier League games with a further nine appearances coming off the bench.

Brighton are reluctant to lose March, as manager Chris Hughton looks to keep his best players as they battle to avoid relegation, but Burnley are ready to test their resolve to hang on to the England under-21 international.
