Massadio Haidara has failed to play once for Newcastle this season.
Dutch outlet AD have claimed Eredivisie side FC Utrecht are plotting a move for Newcastle outcast Massadio Haidara this month, as the Frenchman remains on the sidelines at St. James' Park.
The 25-year-old's career is spiralling into the abyss after suffering a long-term knee injury that has seen him make just 52 Newcastle appearances since joining the club from Nancy in the summer of 2013.
Now in the final year of his contract at St. James' Park, Rafa Benitez is willing to let the full-back leave according to the report and Utrecht are ready to end his Toon nightmare by bringing him to Holland.
Haidara has failed to make a single appearance for Newcastle this season, making the substitutes bench just twice for Newcastle's 3-2 win over West Ham and the narrow 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
He remains behind the likes of Paul Dummett and Javier Manquillo in the left-back pecking order, while Ciaran Clark and Chancel Mbemba have both been used instead of Haidara on the left side of defence this season.
Haidara, who reportedly earns £20,000 a week on Tyneside, could now join Utrecht with the Dutch outfit looking to replace Edson Braafheid who is set to move to the MLS.
