Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti was linked to Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur last year but could now be set for the Championship with Wolves.

Could Wolves sign two of the most exciting young strikers in Europe this month?

They have already welcomed Rafa Mir to Molineux, the teenage Spaniard swapping Valencia for Wolves and being handed the club’s famous number nine shirt. Mir scored 15 times in 19 games for Valencia’s B team this season and was the subject of a number of offers from Real Madrid.

And just a week after the Spaniard completed his £1.8 million move, Italian paper Gazetta Dello Sport (10th January, page 15) reports that Wolves have now stepped up their pursuit of Inter Milan’s Andrea Pinamonti.

The same publication stated earlier in the week that Wolves were battling a number of Serie A clubs for the striker and they now appear to have made the first move by making an offer to Inter Milan.

Pinamonti, like Mir, does not have a huge amount of senior experience under his belt having made just four first-team appearances for the Nerrazzuri. But the 18-year-old has an excellent record at reserve level, including scoring seven goals in 15 games for Italy’s Under-17 side. He is widely seen as one of the most promising young goal-scorers in the country.

And Calciomercato reported last year that clubs of the size of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus were closely monitoring Pinamonti’s developments.

Interestingly, Spurs were also heavily linked with Mir by Super Desporte, so Wolves could be about to nab another hugely exciting talent from under the nose of the Premier League giants.
