Tottenham Hotspur managed to sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in the summer, but only after spending £42 million.

They have since being linked with returning to the Dutch giants for Justin Kluivert (SkySports) and David Neres (Calciomercato).

Sporting director Marc Overmars has made clear that neither are up for sale.

Speaking to AD.nl, Overmars says he intends to offer contract extensions to his star men.

The ex-Arsenal winger said, when quizzed about goalkeeper Andre Onana: “Andre is a winner and wants to become champion with us. We will not let him leave anyway.

“The same applies to David Neres and Justin Kluivert, who will soon extend his contract. We will not let them go either.”

Neres has scored eight goals this season and Kluivert five, with the former contributing nine assists.

Just one of Neres or Kluivert could dramatically improve Tottenham’s attacking options if they can transfer their form from the Eredivisie to the Premier League, but the North London side will be wary of overpaying, as there is no guarantee this will happen.

While Spurs have had success with Ajax players, Everton have struggled to get Davy Klaassen to have any sort of effect in the Premier League, and he is already considering an exit from the club just six months on.
