Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar.
According to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, Crystal Palace are preparing a bid for Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar during this month's transfer window.
The Eagles have seen Christian Benteke score just once in the Premier League this season, and with little depth behind him in attack, landing another striker is absolutely imperative for manager Roy Hodgson.
A number of strikers have already been linked with moves to Selhurst Park, but it seems that the Eagles are focusing in on one target over in Italy.
Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Palace want to sign Khouma Babacar, and are preparing a bid for the Fiorentina striker this month.
Babacar, 24, joined Fiorentina from Pescara back in 2008 having emerged as a promising young talent, and he now has 39 goals in 125 games to his name for the Florence-based side.
The Senegal international hasn't started a single game Serie A game this season though, and has carved out a role as a super-sub, scoring four goals in 15 substitutes appearances.
Given that he has hopes of playing for Senegal at the World Cup this summer, Babacar may now fancy moving on this month in order to play first-team football.
A move to the Premier League could now be on the cards, with Palace seemingly preparing a bid as the Eagles desperately search for a new striker this month.
