PSG loanee Jese Rodriguez has been given the go-ahead to end his Stoke City nightmare.
Stoke forward Jese Rodriguez cannot wait to end his abysmal time in England and return home to play for boyhood club Las Palmas, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Jese, who is still owned by Paris Saint-Germain, was loaned out to Las Palmas for the latter half of last season where he scored an underwhelming three goals in 16 appearances. Unfortunately for both parties, several reasons meant that Las Palmas did not opt to make the switch permanent and Jese found himself back in Paris.
Having struggled to settle in the French capital, Mark Hughes quickly snapped up the Spaniard, however, his form went from bad to worse. Rodriguez only managed nine Premier League appearances for the Potters, scoring one goal.
Further complications arose when his son was prematurely born, forcing the two-time Champions League winner to make regular hospital visits to Spain from England.
As a result, Jese is thought to be extremely keen to return to his homeland, with Las Palmas seemingly willing to take another chance on the out-of-favour forward.
Considering all the circumstances, the 24-year-old was given the go-ahead to speak to the La Liga club with Stoke happy to end the season-long loan early.
If all is well with PSG, Las Palmas expect to announce the re-signing of Jese next week in what will likely be another loan deal until the end of the season.
