HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are tracking MK Dons defender.
Williams has really caught the eye at MK Dons during the last 18 months after rejoining the club from Barnsley in the summer of 2016.
The versatile defender won both Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year last season and he has maintained that fine form this term.
Williams has made 30 appearances in all competitions and he has deputised as captain on several occasions when Dean Lewington has not been available.
The 24-year-old has established himself as a key man in Robbie Neilson’s side since the Scot's appointment in December 2016 and his performances have not gone unnoticed among other clubs.
A host of Williams' suitors are understood to have watched him in action last weekend, as he captained MK Dons to a 1-0 FA Cup victory over Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Williams was rewarded for his importance in the MK Dons side with a new three-year deal last summer, but the club are bracing themselves for interest in the consistent defender during this month's transfer window.
