Newcastle must quickly to sign Daniel Sturridge as West Ham are considering making a move for the Liverpool striker.
The Reds are willing to listen to offers for Sturridge, who joined Liverpool for a fee of £12 million in 2013, according to the Guardian. Sturridge has dropped down the pecking order at the club under Jurgen Klopp, and it seems he could be heading towards the Anfield exit door.
Liverpool have sold Philippe Coutinho this month to Barcelona, but it seems Klopp is still looking to offload the England international.
Newcastle are also one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing the 28-year-old. According to a report from the Northern Echo, the Magpies have asked Liverpool about the availability of the striker.
With Liverpool willing to sell, this is a huge opportunity for Newcastle to make a statement and sign him up at the earliest.
Sturridge has struggled with injuries but he is still a top quality finisher. A move away from Anfield could be vital to resurrect his career.
Newcastle can play smart, and sign him on a loan deal with an option to secure his deal permanently in the summer. Whatever it is, they must act quickly to secure his move, as he could play a huge part in Newcastle’s survival in the Premier League this season.
