Former Fulham and Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega has been linked with a stunning return to the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion.

Well this was an unexpected blast from the past. And not a particularly pleasant one for fans of West Bromwich Albion.
According to the Turkish publication Gunes, the Baggies have made a shock £5 million bid for one Hugo Rodallega, three years after he left the Premier League seemingly for an early retirement in the less than prestigious Super Lig.
In truth, Rodallega has not been in bad nick since joining Trabzonspor a year ago. He has scored ten goals in 26 games for the club.
But handing the 32-year-old an entirely unexpected second chance in the Premier League does not look like a precursor to West Brom rediscovering their form in front of goal and soaring up the table in the second half of this season.

Rodallega proved himself to be a decent top flight striker during spells with Wigan Athletic and Fulham between 2008 and 2014, even hitting double figures for the Latics in his second season with the Lancashire side. But that was a long time ago now.
And reports that West Brom have offered £5 million, which is nothing more than a pocket change sum in the Premier League these days, is about as uninspiring a bid as you could attempt to make.
The Baggies may be forced to sift through the bargain bucket due to the vice like grip of Financial Fair Play, but links with Rodallega have fans wondering where it has all gone wrong at The Hawthorns.
