Several Leeds United fans are hoping that the club go out and target Lewis Grabban during this window.

Among the almost endless list of reasons for Leeds fans to be concerned after their FA Cup defeat to Newport County on Sunday is the form of the two men who started up front against the League Two side at Rodney Parade.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Jay-Roy Grot both got a chance in Wales after difficult patches of form. However, neither impressed for the Whites as Thomas Christiansen’s side were knocked out of the cup in the third round.

Eddie Howe recently confirmed that he is set to leave on a permanent basis this month, in comments reported by Sky Sports, and there are a host of second tier sides keen to land him.

While Grabban may not be the long-term answer for the Whites, it appears that a number of fans would like him signed. And in fairness, if he scores the goals that inspire Leeds to promotion, the deal would instantly be worth the outlay.
