Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Brendan Rodgers’s decision to send Kundai Benyu out on loan to Oldham Athletic in League One in England.
As announced on Celtic’s official website at the weekend, Benyu has joined Oldham on loan from the Bhoys in the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old midfielder will remain at the League One club until the end of the season and will hope to play regularly.
The Zimbabwe international joined Celtic in the summer of 2017 after leaving Ipswich Town in the Championship in England at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
The youngster failed to make a massive impact for the Glasgow giants in the first half of the season, making a total of just four appearances for Celtic.

Absolute bizarre signing in the 1st place. Nothing against the lad but he looked bright in his early games then we’ve heard nothing since. Good luck to him! Would like to see him make an impact with us.— Paul Çonnelly (@paulconn75) January 6, 2018
This is where u have to trust the manager, get the boy in show him what it's all about, out on loan to get some game time and let him work he knows what he's coming back to n what's required to play for us!— John Forrest (@johnforrest6) January 6, 2018

Make sure you come back and don't sign— Cian Leahy (@CianLeahy2) January 6, 2018
Hope he makes the most of his loan spell and comes back to us a better stronger player— Brian D (@brianbhoy74) January 6, 2018
Appears to be the policy - buy in these youngsters stick them out on loan for match time. Bring them back and make decision on weather you want them. Half of these new signings will never play a dozen games others maybe gems - Morgan next up— Gary Stuart (@Gs88S) January 6, 2018
We've liked what we've seen of him so far. Hopefully, regular 1st team football will benefit him & he comes back next season to fight for a place in the 1st team squad. Good luck @kundaibenyu_— CarlJungleBhoy (@CarlJungleBhoy) January 6, 2018

Might go and watch him.— Jam (@ChizzyCha88) January 6, 2018
Benyu is a talented and promising young midfielder, but competition for places in the Celtic team is fierce.
Rodgers has made the right decision in sending the youngster out on loan so that he can get regular playing time and return to Celtic in the summer of 2018 a better player.
