Southampton are reportedly interested in signing the Celtic ace this month.

Southampton are currently flush with cash, having sold Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool for an incredible £75 million, and Mauricio Pellegrino is reportedly keen on bolstering his ranks in all departments.
The south coast outfit currently sit precariously in 17th position in the Premier League table, ahead of 18th placed Stoke City on goal difference alone, and the injection of some real quality will be much needed, if they are to avoid the drop this season.

The Sunday Post claims that Pellegrino’s first point of call will be Celtic, with Stuart Armstrong catching the Argentine’s eye.

They claim that the Saints boss is willing to offer £10 million for the 25-year-old, who has won three league titles with the Bhoys, although it is unclear whether Brendan Rodgers would be willing to part ways with the midfielder.
With the January transfer window now open for business, this will certainly be one for both Saints and Hoops fans to keep a very close eye on.
