Liverpool are reported to be long term admirers of the Nottingham Forest sensation.

Nottingham Forest teenager Ben Brereton produced a man-of-the-match performance to inspire his club to a memorable FA Cup win at home to Arsenal.
Brereton is just 18-years-old and has already caught the attention of some of England’s top clubs.
The Mirror reported last year that Brereton was a top target for Liverpool, while the Daily Mail reported that Tottenham have sent scouts to watch him in action.

Brereton’s performance against Arsenal can’t have gone unnoticed by either club, with supporters of each taking to Twitter to urge a move for the talented forward.
Brereton had four shots at goal, scored a penalty past David Ospina, and impressed with his hold up play.
He gave experienced defender Per Mertesacker the run around, and his performance could be poorly timed for Forest with the transfer window just having opened.
Brereton would be a good investment for any top flight side, and despite him signing a new contract extension last summer, if a big bid comes in, Nottingham Forest could find it difficult to resist.
