Rangers fans want to see Greg Docherty head to Ibrox this month.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Scottish Cup Quarter final match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers completed their first January signing earlier today, but it seems that fans would rather have seen somebody else arrive at Ibrox.

The Gers brought in midfielder Sean Goss on loan from Queens Park Rangers earlier today, boosting Graeme Murty’s options between now and the end of the season.

Fans will still be looking for new additions this month, and it seems that some supporters have set their sights on another midfielder joining the club.

Hamilton Academical ace Greg Docherty has impressed this season, notching three goals in 25 games, and he has already racked up more than 100 appearances for the Accies at the age of just 21.

A product of Hamilton’s youth academy, Docherty is one of the most talented young players in Scotland, and Rangers fans are desperate to see him head to Glasgow.

Fans have been taking to Twitter in recent days to suggest that Docherty would be the perfect signing for Rangers this month, given his burgeoning reputation in Scotland.

Fans can’t understand why Mark Allen and co aren’t looking to bring in Docherty, questioning their transfer approach if they miss out on him, and believe he could be a cheap signing to develop over the coming years.
