Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly set to sign Valencia’s Rafa Mir.
Rafa Mir of Valencia
According to Spanish newspaper Super Deporte, Valencia forward Rafa Mir has decided to join Wolverhampton Wanderers – despite interest from Real Madrid.
Mir, 20, was previously on the books with Barcelona and Murcia before heading to Valencia in 2012, and he has featured regularly for their B team.

With 25 goals in 60 games for Valencia B, Mir has emerged as a promising youngster for Los Che, and he has even made two first-team appearances.
Now, Super Deporte report that Mir has decided to move on and join Wolverhampton Wanderers in a shock deal, given that he was wanted by Real Madrid.
It’s claimed that Real wanted to sign Mir and put him in their ‘Castilla’ side to develop him for the future, but Wolves have now swooped in to seemingly secure his signature.

The report states that Wolves will be paying €2million (£1.75million) to sign Mir, handing him a four-year contract to reunite with manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno managed Mir at Valencia, and even handed him his professional debut, meaning a reunion may have helped swing the deal in Wolves’ favour.
