Everton are being touted for a move to sign Barcelona’s Arda Turan.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the agent of Barcelona misfit Arda Turan is attempting to persuade Everton into making a bid for his client.
Turan, 30, became a star with Atletico Madrid following a 2011 switch from Galatasaray, notching 22 goals in 178 games before heading to Barcelona in 2015.
After being forced to wait six months to make his debut due to Barcelona’s ban on registering new signings, Turan hasn’t quite lived up to expectations.

The Turkish international hasn’t made a single competitive appearance this season having struggled to make an impression under Ernesto Valverde, and a January exit seems inevitable.
Mundo Deportivo now report that Turan’s agent – Ahmet Bulut – is attempting to find Turan a new club this month, and has targeted AC Milan and Everton for a move.
It’s claimed that Bulut is trying to tempt Everton into a bid, whilst AC Milan are understood to be interested in pursuing a deal, though the finances involved may be an issue.

The report states that Turan earns €7,000,000 a year – £120,000-a-week – at Barcelona, and it remains to be seen whether Everton would be willing to splash that kind of cash on another playmaker.
As skilful and talented as Turan is, Everton need pace rather than another ball-playing attacking midfielder, and they may be better off snubbing Bulut’s offer and looking elsewhere.
