Nottingham Forest are keen to bring Adam Federici back after his brief loan spell with the Championship side.

Forest signed Federici in the summer on a loan deal until January. However, an injury sustained before he had even made his debut for the club meant that he returned to Bournemouth – but he is now back fit.

That has meant that they are now preparing a fresh move for Federici, according to The Sun on Sunday, but the report does not state whether the Championship outfit are planning to bring the 32-year-old in on loan once again or actually on a permanent basis.

With the Cherries boasting a number of goalkeeper options, it may not be a surprise if the Premier League side do not set a particularly high asking price for the Australia international.
It must also be noted that the report came out before Jordan Smith’s encouraging performance against Leeds United at Elland Road on New Year’s Day – with his particular highlight surely coming in the second-half when he denied Pablo Hernandez from close range as he kept a clean sheet in the stalemate – and with Mark Warburton sacked over the weekend, the next manager may perhaps have his own targets and want to steer the club away from a fresh move for Federici.
