Newcastle United won against Stoke City in the Premier League on Monday.

Shanghai Shenhua striker Demba Ba has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s win against Stoke City.

Newcastle got the better of Stoke 1-0 away from home at the bet365 Stadium in the Premier League on Monday afternoon.

Ayoze Perez’s goal in the 73rd minute proved to be the difference between the Potters and the Magpies.

Ba, who was on the books of Newcastle from 2011 until 2013, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Magpies.

The 32-year-old Senegalese striker, who has been on the books of Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Besiktas for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £11.3 million, could have actually moved to Stoke back in January 2011.

Stoke chairman Peter Coates was quoted as saying by The Daily Star in March 2011 that the club’s medical team advised against signing the striker from Hoffenheim.
