Newcastle United were held to a 0-0 draw against Brighton.
Former Newcastle United player Mick Quinn has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after the Magpies were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League at St James’ Park.
It was a game of few clear-cut chances, but Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan did well to deny Issac Hayden and Dwight Gayle in the second half.
Quinn wrote on Twitter that he is disappointed with the result, especially with other relegation contenders Swansea and AFC Bournemouth both picking up valuable points.
Disappointed no 3pts especially as Swansea and Bournemouth won but every PL point is vital so i will take the 1 we got https://t.co/qangNVIf8w

The result ends a run of five straight home defeats for the Magpies, but they slip to 16th in the table. Rafael Benitez’s side are still without a win at home since October.
Newcastle face two crucial fixtures against fellow strugglers Stoke and Swansea early in the new year, and Benitez will be hoping for positive results in those games.
