Liverpool overcame Leicester City despite falling behind this weekend.
Liverpool came from behind to defeat Leicester City 2-1 on Saturday, with Jamie Vardy's early strike ultimately cancelled out by a Mohamed Salah brace.
The Reds had to work hard for their victory, against a Foxes side that has been in fine form since Claude Puel took charge earlier this season, but they fully deserved the three points given their chances.
Liverpool's win means they are now just three points behind third-placed Manchester United in the Premier League and there is plenty of football to be played in 2018.
Among the Liverpool players to impress on the day was full-back Andrew Robertson, who was making his seventh consecutive league appearance having had to wait patiently for chances earlier in the campaign.
Signed from Hull City for a bargain fee, Robertson is now proving his worth to this Liverpool side and he should rack up plenty more appearances between now and May.
After the game we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool supporters thought of Robertson's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Robertson was excellent in getting into attacking positions but his final ball yesterday was dreadful. He will learn— Mark (@2pintWonder) December 31, 2017
I'd say there's more people jumping on the Moreno bandwagon than the Robertson. Robertson better in all aspects in my opinion.— The Bastion (@The_Bastion_LFC) December 31, 2017
Robertson was one our best players today— Bart Hobson (@BartHobson) December 30, 2017
Robertson showed again today what competing for places is all about at #LFC— MAsh LFC (@MartynAshford1) December 30, 2017
He was excellent again and gave 100% up to the final whistle
Moreno will have to fight hard for the #1 LB spot
Robertson has been a revelation at left back. He’s surely got that place nailed down now? #LFC— Russell (@Cast_N0_Shadow) December 30, 2017
Robertson played just as well as anyone except salah today— LFC_000 (@LFC_000) December 30, 2017
