Two Brazilian players have been linked with moves to Tottenham - but both would improve Mauricio Pochettino's side.
And it was therefore no surprise when it emerged in November that Tottenham Hotspur were interested in bringing the Brazilian winger to Wembley - as reported by the Evening Standard.
But Richarlison's form has faded a little alongside Watford's and, with Marco Silva surely keen to keep his young star, there has been little further talk of a switch.
Universo Online report that Tottenham have had a huge bid rejected for the highly rated prospect - a player who, with his combination of flair and end product, is not overly dissimilar to Richarlison.
It seems that Mauricio Pochettino has a very clear idea as to what type of player his Spurs side need to improve then.
But the next move will be very interesting; does the reported bid for Malcom indicate that Tottenham are moving on from Richarlison? Will the Watford man feature on their radar again?
Either signing would surely excite Spurs fans as they look to kick on in 2018.
