Ajax forward David Neres
According to Calcio Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Ajax starlet David Neres.
Neres, 20, came up through the ranks with Sao Paulo in his native Brazil, spending almost 10 years with the club before joining Ajax earlier this year.
After a January move to Amsterdam, Neres hit three goals and one assist in eight Eredivisie appearances to end the campaign, but has been simply sensational this term.

Neres has smashed eight goals and nine assists in 16 Eredivisie games this season, becoming a sensation at the Amsterdam Arena whilst – unsurprisingly – attracting major interest.
Calcio Mercato now report that AC Milan have joined the race to sign Neres, with Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also believed to be in the battle for his signature.
Quick and skilful with an eye for goal, Neres has earned comparisons to compatriot Neymar, though Spurs and other interested clubs would be hoping to land Neres for a fraction of Neymar's world record move to Paris Saint-Germain.

With such strong competition for his signature, Tottenham may have to work hard to beat off their rivals to sign Neres, and he would hand Mauricio Pochettino another attacking option.
As a pacey winger, Neres could arrive as an upgrade on Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, whilst he can also cut in from the right flank like Erik Lamela, making him a versatile forward – and having landed former teammate Davinson Sanchez from Ajax over the summer, Spurs may now return to raid them again in 2018.
