Luke Ayling and a handful of his Leeds teammates have taken to Twitter in the wake of the Whites' spirited victory over Burton Albion on Boxing Day, which keeps Thomas Christiansen's side fifth in the Championship table.
Leeds went into the contest off the back of a run of three victories, and they would have known that they were in for a tough afternoon with Nigel Clough's side dealing the Whites' play-off hopes a huge blow when they met in the latter stages of last season.
And after a decent start for the visitors, it was Burton who broke the deadlock as some lacklustre defending allowed Tom Naylor to slide in from close range.
The second-half saw Leeds step up the tempo, and they made their pressure count shortly after the hour mark as Pablo Hernandez scored a brilliant free-kick, before Kemar Roofe completed the turnaround just three minutes later as he took full advantage of a stunning through ball from Ronaldo Vieira.
Christiansen's men remained in command for much of the second-half before the Brewers began to apply the pressure during the six minutes of stoppage-time that were added, and came desperately close to finding an equaliser following a goalmouth scramble.
It was not to be for Clough's men however, and Leeds held on for the three points. It was the third time in a row that the Whites have won by a single goal, and was the first time in the Championship this season that they have come from behind to secure three points.
That may be why Ayling suggested on Twitter that it was Leeds' best win of the season, while Eunan O'Kane made light of a bizarre incident before Hernandez's equaliser when Burton goalkeeper Stephen Bywater was booked for pulling down the Irishman's shorts as several players looked to make a nuisance of themselves before the Spaniard curled the ball home.
We promised each other after 45 that don’t get frustrated and go out and turn the result in the second half. That’s a result of real team-spirit! Proud of everyone! ❤️ @LUFC pic.twitter.com/uy9Ex3NbEw— Pontus Jansson (@PJansson5) December 26, 2017
